The trailer for Disneys “Queen of Katwe” has just been released and it looks GOOD!

The movie tells the true story of Phiona Mutesi, a young Ugandan girl who becomes world chess champion. Beautifully shot and including a breakout performance by Madina Nalwanga, this is one to be inspired by. Check out the trailer here:

While you’re at it, have a look at our very own Ruth Negga in ‘Loving’ a true story of a bi-racial couple who were imprisoned for a year for breaking state “anti-miscegnation” laws.

I don’t want to jinx it but there’s already Oscar talk surrounding Negga’s performance and if the trailer is anything to go by, she pretty much killed it this time.
