U2 are as much a part of Irish culture as St Patrick himself. They created anthems which saw us through our biggest challenges, the troubles in the North, equality, loss and so on. Over the past 42 years their songs have been anthems, and most of us grew up in homes with at least 3 U2 CD’s (remember CD’s)
In their new video, U2 joined forces with Vogue photographer, David Mushegain, to celebrate the next generation of Dublin youth, with a specific nod to those who form our vibrant and unique LGBT+ Community.
David told Vogue that the video is “about being young and expressing yourself… how we all have friends and relatives who dress or look or style themselves differently but, as the song says, love is bigger than anything in its way. The LGBTQ community is made up of course of people who are LGBTQ themselves, but the community also includes friends and family so really it’s inclusive of everyone,” he says.
