A huge thank you to everyone who made these two days possible: our incredible speakers, dedicated volunteers, and the wonderful team at SETU Arena for hosting us.

Thank you also to the schools and teachers who brought their students, and most importantly, to every single girl who showed up ready to shine.

Every time a girl joins our Mentorship Programme, she meets someone who believes in her. Really believes in her. Someone who shows up, just for her!⁠
Someone who listens without judgment. Who reminds her she’s not behind, not too much, not too late, just finding her way.⁠

This week, our Mentorship Programme was named a 2025 @mentorloop Impact Award winner. Out of hundreds of mentoring programmes around the world, ours was chosen for the difference it makes in the lives of girls across Ireland.⁠

As part of our 2025 report, in collaboration with The outcome, "The Perfect Storm" details the complex challenges faced by teenage girls in Ireland, revealing they experience overwhelming anxiety from social media, school stress, and body image pressures. ⁠

These key findings revealed what we've labelled "our six villains".⁠

This report is a call to action for schools, leaders, and everyone in the community to listen to young voices. The Shona Project aims to advocate for policy changes and foster a safer, more supportive environment for teenage girls in Ireland.⁠
