💻 Social Media & Marketing Executive (Full-Time)

Location: Hybrid, with occasional attendance in our Waterford office and other national locations as required
Contract: 12 Months
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: €35,000 – €38,000 (depending on skills and experience)
Reports To: Community Manager

🌈 About the Role:

As our Social Media & Marketing Executive, you’ll work closely with our Community Manager and CEO to deepen the relationship between The Shona Project and our online community. You’ll create powerful, meaningful content that supports, uplifts, and inspires girls across Ireland — while helping us raise brand awareness and position Shona as a leading voice in youth empowerment.

This is a passion-driven, creative role with loads of room to grow and make a real impact.

✨ Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Build on and strengthen existing marketing plans to promote The Shona Project’s mission and programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
    Content Creation and Management: Produce engaging content for various channels, including social media, website, email newsletters, and press releases. This includes creating visually appealing graphics and videos that align with the organisation’s brand.
  • Social Media Management and Reporting: Oversee and manage all social media platforms, including creating and editing TikTok videos and Instagram Reels, to aid in the growth of our following and engagement. Also, manage the collection and reporting of performance on social media and other online platforms.
  • Digital Marketing: Assist in updating the existing digital marketing strategy to ensure it stays relevant to industry trends. Identify opportunities for collaborations, partnerships, or influencer engagement.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures, providing insights to maximise content collaborations to raise brand awareness.
  • Event Support: Support the Community Manager and other team membersOperations Manager on all digital marketing activities for the award-winning SHINE Festival each October, including promotional campaigns and content creation.

 

🛠️ Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    Experience: Proven experience as a marketing executive or in a similar role, within the nonprofit sector is desirable.
  • Digital Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and analytics tools. Experience with WordPress and scheduling tools such as Later.com is an advantage.
  • Content Creation: Proficiency in graphic design using Canva and/or other software. Video editing skills for TikTok videos and Instagram Reels is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity: Ability to think creatively and contribute innovative ideas to social media campaigns and marketing strategies.

 


📊 Impact Executive (Part-Time)

Location: Hybrid, with occasional attendance in our Waterford office and other national locations as required
Contract: 12 Months
Employment Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week – flexible)
Salary: €33,000 – €35,000 (pro rata, depending on experience)
Reports To: CEO
Closing Date: Tuesday, April 22nd at 5pm

🌍 About the Role:

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about social impact, data, and learning. As our Impact Executive, you’ll lead the development and delivery of systems that measure the real-world impact of our programmes — while working alongside our team and receiving expert mentorship from The Outcome, an impact consultancy.

This role is ideal for an early-career professional with an interest in research, evaluation, and storytelling through data.

✨ Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an impact measurement framework to assess the effectiveness of The Shona Project’s programmes, with support from The Outcome.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data from workshops, events, and initiatives to track progress and outcomes.
  • Manage our national survey, including assisting with survey design, analysis and reporting, and leading distribution and recruitment efforts..
  • Prepare and present impact reports for funders, stakeholders, and internal teams to demonstrate our achievements and inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with programme teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Support funding applications and reports by providing compelling impact data and insights.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in impact measurement, evaluation, and research methodologies.
  • Engage with young people and community stakeholders to ensure our work reflects their voices and needs.

 

🛠️ Skills & Experience:

  • Passionate about gender equality, youth empowerment, and social impact.
  • Some experience in data collection, research, or impact measurement, either through work, study, or voluntary experience.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Google Suite, Excel, Google Analytics, and other data visualisation platforms.
  • Eager to develop skills in translating data into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • A great communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings effectively.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
  • Deeply committed to The Shona Project’s mission and values
