SOOOOO much happened at the Golden Globes last night, we can hardly contain ourselves. From the all black “Times Up” dress code, Saoirse winning best actress and ‘E!’ getting called out live on air for the pay gap. In fact, the whole “girl power” atmosphere was on point and sent a powerful message that a change is coming.

And then up stood the queen of life herself. Oprah became the first black woman to receive the Cecil B DeMille award. In her epic speech she remembered watching Sydney Poitier receive that same award as a young woman, and the impact it had on her to see a black person recognized and celebrated for their work.

She said that she was very aware of the fact that there were girls everywhere, for whom seeing her win the award was a powerful statement, showing them that they too can achieve such levels of greatness, as glass ceilings everywhere continue to be shattered.

The speech smacked of presidential, and if she considered running, we reckon she has already got this one in the bag.

In case you missed it, Natalie Portman also brought the 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 when she announced the “all male nominees” for best director giving zero f$%ks whatsoever.
