With today being International Friendship Day, we thought it was only right if we mentioned some of the best TV friendships that will withstand the test of time. These friendships melted our hearts and showed us what it really is like to have those very special people that will love and support you always 🥰

1. Miley and Lily from Hannah Montana

I don’t know about you, but Hannah Montana was my go-to show growing up. I would run home, kick off my shoes, and plonk myself on the couch to watch what Miley and Lily would get up to. They had their ups and downs but the most special part of their friendship was how they grew as people together.

2. meredith and Cristina from grey’s Anatomy

Possibly one of my fav TV duos. These ladies have been down dark and twisty paths but have always loved and supported each other. They have shown what the definition of “your person” really is.

3. Poussey and Taystee from orange is the new black

A friendship that was full of fun, support, and love. Filling our TV screens with love and giggles, these two made sure to challenge each other, and make sure the best of the other would shine!

4. Rosa and Amy from Brooklyn Nine – Nine

An unlikely pair with very different interests but with one very important thing in common. They are equally powerful women that always have each other’s backs. We love that Brooklyn Nine-Nine didn’t do the usual TV trend and make these two ladies foes.

 5. Monica, Rachel, and Pheobe from Friends

You didn’t think we would leave this trio out, did you? The thing I remember and miss most about F.R.I.E.N.D.S are the things Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe’s friendship taught us all. They supported each other through thick and thin and showed us all how to be a better friend.

6. Lorelai and Rory from Gilmore girls

Even though they’re mother and daughter, they have a special bond rooted in love and understanding. A forever friendship.

7. Eleanor and Tahani from the good place

The fact that it was revealed that in one of Michael’s reboot versions, Tahani and Eleanor were soulmates is almost enough proof of how lovely this friendship is. They support each other to the ends of, well I can’t say earth so, the “Good Place”. They also empower each other and grow to be a better version of themselves together.

8. April and Donna from parks and recreation

They are basically polar opposites and don’t pay much attention to each other at the start, but their friendship grows into such sweet respect for each other while still respecting the other’s personality. Donna choosing April as her maid of honor melted our hearts, April helping her set up after school programs for kids, and them taking spontaneous trips to Venezuela. That entire friendship is so quietly set up and just hits you in the face with how beautiful it is.

9. Penny, Bernadette, and Amy from The Big Bang Theory

The bond that grew organically over the course of eight seasons. The best and most interesting moments of the show came as these three strikingly different personalities found common ground, clashed, and shifted alliances. We went along with all the ups and downs that these ladies went through. At the end of the day, they were besties for life and we couldn’t love them anymore!

10. Blair and Serena from gossip girl

These gossip girls live out the term “love you like a sister,” by fighting over the big things, and bickering over the small. But through it all, they remain the most important constant in each other’s lives.  B and S are the real Gossip Girl love story: “You’re my family. What is you is me. There’s nothing you could ever say to make me let go. I love you.”
