If you’ve ever fancied yourself as the next Saoirse Ronan, but don’t know where to start, this could be your big break!

The Dublin Theatre Festival are looking for 40 young woman aged 16-26 to take part in an exciting new production, called “The Suppliant Women”. The play was written by the Greek playwright Aeschylus, and tells the story of 50 women who escape forced marriages in Egypt and seek asylum in Greece. The play may be 2,500 years old but is a story for our time. And it looks like a really special experience and a lot of fun.

According to the Actors Touring Company, you don’t need to be Beyonce, just to be able to carry a tune and move to a beat, they will do the rest, and mould you into a star. They won’t make you audition X-Factor style, or drop you down a trapdoor. They aim to just have an introductory session to give you a feel for the show, and take it from there.

Applications are open until Monday, July 3rd. Follow this link to find out more or to apply. Break a Leg!
